The question
My daughter is five and loves to talk a lot. At bedtime she tells me a story and brings up many things that have no relation to one another.
Do I let her talk, or try to arrange the speech for her?
Our answer
During the day, sit with her and teach her the preparatory curriculum. You'll find with time that she arranges her words and will amaze you, by Allah's leave, with her understanding. Give her a daily Qur'an portion, hadiths, and stories to fill her linguistic and intellectual storehouse. She will mature and learn what to pronounce and how to speak with others.
