How do I teach my daughter "al-Sami'" and "al-Basir" simply? . Creed & Worship . I'm trying to teach my daughter Allah's attributes and names. I began with al-Sami' and al-Basir, and I told her that nothing is like Him. Kindergarten is mandatory and I want her to have a creedal foundation, by Allah's leave. Next week she'll be three years old, in shaa Allah. Could I get some advice or book recommendations? Also, I'm anxious about kindergarten and schools — I'm worried she'll be influenced. In it you'll find books on creed, sirah, manners, and more — by Allah's grace, it is a complete curriculum. You can begin by having her memorize Juz' 'Amma. Along with the curriculum you'll find a guide on how to teach memorization at this age. As a general piece of advice, play al-Hussary's teaching mushaf with the surah you want her to memorize, and you'll be surprised at how quickly and beautifully she memorizes, by Allah's leave — even if you don't sit specifically for memorization. As for kindergarten, if you can enroll her without actually sending her — while teaching her the Mirath curriculum at home — that is a great good.
